The Mothers' Union has over 4 million members in 85 countries - both men and women. In many countries in the developing world, they organize training in literacy, health education, parenting and entrepreneurship as well as equipping communities to find long term solutions tackling poverty where they live. They have had a voice at the United Nations for many years.

In this Diocese of Bath & Wells, the MU do a great deal of fundraising as well as organizing holiday schemes for families under stress, give out cookery books for simple meals, run four free child contact centres, make gowns for premature and stillborn babies as well as other projects. The St Dunstan's Branch meets in the afternoon on the second Thursday of each month - generally in Baltonsborough, but sometimes Butleigh or Keinton.

There are details of each meeting in the Parish Magazine, and we would be delighted to welcome anyone to our meetings. For further information please telephone either Emma Stevens on 01458 223344 or Eileen Heath on 01458 850163.
